"Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it!" - William Hutchinson Murray
MISSION / TEACH THE PRACTICAL SKILLS OF CINEMATIC STORYTELLING TO BOLD CREATIVES WHO CONSTRUCT CULTURE WITH PURPOSE
We require stories to live. Without stories there is no sense. Narrative is a universal, neuro-biological function for ordering human experience into coherent meaning. Stories shape our understanding of reality and our roles within it.
Corporate media is worn out. They have no new ideas but recycle the brilliance of bygone years. There is a censorious restriction on free speech and genuine culture. This is the result of an inability to appreciate actual artistic heritage.
It's the responsibility of people living within a culture to tell their own stories. It's not the right of governments or oligarchy to engineer culture. Millions of viewers are desperate for high-quality, meaningful media that isn’t designed to indoctrinate and subvert. People are sick of the demoralizing "dark arts."
Art requires a highly-disciplined process. Creativity isn't defined by the vague, hysterical abstractionism of recent history. A tradition remains whereby students can gain valuable, transferable skills and intellectual insights into the human experience. It's a practical, engaged way of living truly and richly in the world.
Art can spark new modes of perception. We’re looking for the innovative, fearless, and purposeful participants who will explore the moral imagination for what is transformative.
Do you want to learn and practice the art of cinematic storytelling? Are you a creator rather than a conformist? Are you inspired by innovative work founded in ancient traditions? Do you want to jump-start a skills-based career and bypass common pitfalls and confusion?
CINESCHOOL helps participants articulate their purpose and apply the fundamental skills of cinematic storytelling to achieve it.
